The Omaha Press Club: Nothing Quite Like It
The 50-year-old Omaha Press Club is unique in the central United States, offering its members a restaurant and meeting rooms with “The Best View in Town,” special events, an annual gridiron show, journalism education, plus fellowship and fun. Membership is open to everyone within one of four categories.
The OPC Foundation is the club’s philanthropic arm, awarding scholarships annually to college journalism and broadcast students.
The OPC restaurant offers a panoramic view of Omaha’s downtown skyline and the Missouri River Valley of Nebraska and Iowa from the 22nd floor of the First National Center in the heart of downtown.

Consider joining the Omaha Press Club. Membership entitles you to:
- Dine at the OPC's restaurant on top of the First National Center at 16th and Dodge Streets. Downtown Omaha has no finer spot for lunch or dinner. The panoramic vista from the 22nd floor is spectacular indeed.
- Participate in professional development seminars for journalists and non-journalists. The seminar line-up for 2004 will be announced soon.
- Reduced prices on tickets to the annual Omaha Press Club Show. The show, a spoof of newsmakers and news events of the past year, includes club members in the cast, orchestra and stage crew.
- "Beyond -30-," the Omaha Press Club newsletter. The 11 yearly issues are filled with information on club activities.
- E-mail alerts about club activities. These include notices about the OPC Noon Educational Forum, an ongoing luncheon series of panel discussions on issues in the news, special author presentations, question-and-answer sessions with civic leaders and much more.
- Free club rental. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, evening events can be held for groups of 40 or more by advanced reservation.
Membership is open to everyone. Call (402) 345-8587 for details, or visit the Join page on our Web site.
