Each spring, the Omaha Press Club stages one of the most original pieces of musical theater in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area. The production -- known as the Omaha Press Club Show -- pokes fun at the year's headline stories.
Imagine “Saturday Night Live,” Leno and Letterman all rolled into one. The barbs and jabs are fast and furious; the tunes, campy and comical. Nebraska's movers and shakers turn out in droves for this unique night of hilarity. If you're a politician and you aren't mentioned in the script, hang your head and cry! This show is written, directed and performed by Club members who love to ham it up.
Interested in being involved onstage or behind the scenes? Call the OPC at (402) 345-8587 and we'll put you in touch with one of the producers.
The 2007 show -- our 50th -- will be held Saturday, April 21 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs. The gala evening will include a sit-down dinner and Super Silent Auction. Click here for ticket information. |
