Name: Chip Davis
The nationally known musician and Omaha resident is pictured driving a musical "Mannheim steam roller," a pun on his musical group's name, Mannheim Steamroller, known for its Christmas concerts. The successful composer-musician-conductor is shown with his drums, keyboard, horns and strings, wearing his trademark white sneakers. One year earlier, Chip (Louis) Davis had taken on tour the show "Yellowstone: The Magic of Nature," donating a portion of royalties to the park, which was devastated by fire in history of the National Park Service. His effort won him an award from Vice President Al Gore. His company based in Omaha, American Gramaphone, is involved in food products, films, music publishing and video. He has been named one of the top 50 artists of all time.  Back to Top
