Name: Paul Kalmanovitz and Senator Bernice Labedz
One of the first times two prominent citizens were saluted in one Face was the Paul Kalmanovitz and Bernice Labedz event. Kalmanovitz was owner of the Falstaff Brewing Corp. and Labedz was a Nebraska state senator when honored . Each thought they were showing up to honor the other person. Labedz was given much of the credit for persuading Kalmanovitz to resume production at his plant after an earlier decision to close it. They are clicking beer steins in front of the Falstaff Brewery building. She wears a button, "Polish spoken here." Back to Top
