Name: Chief Justice C. Thomas White
Thomas White had just retired as chief justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court when he was roasted as a Face. He spent 33 years as a judge, including 21 years on the Supreme Court. The caricature depicts White standing on a map of Nebraska with Humphrey and Columbus in the background. A scroll of Nebraska law is simplified to, "Do this. Don't do that." Also pictured with White are a trio of governors: Frank Morrison who appointed White to the district bench; J.J. Exon who named him to the Supreme Court and Ben Nelson who elevated him to chief justice. Back to Top
